The TopHat shaft shaper is a clever new tool designed to gently compress down an oversized shaft to make points fit better and go on easier without damaging the finish of the shaft or compromising the arrow spine.
The tool consists of 4 pieces, the base and the 3 "shapers".
The base with the correct size shaper attached is fitted into a a cordless drill and while running on low speed (around 100rpm) you push the shaft slowly into the shaper.
This gently compresses the wood to produce an even diameter along the tip of the shaft.

Once you have shaped the shaft the TopHat Thead pre-cutter can be used to make installation of your screw on points even easier. 

This set includes the base and  3 shapers in  5/16, 11/32 and 23/64

It can also be used in the TopHat Assembly tool but we have found the cordless drill method to be easier and faster. The last picture shows the Thread Cutting Tool fitted in the assembly tool after being used on the shaft, these are available for seperate purchase.
