Kayuga has been operating for over 5 years now, Matt being a passionate bowhunter from the age of 5 when hunting boars and billys with my father in the mountains. Fast forward 14 years of bowhunting and there was a gap in the Australian bowhunting scene for a quality 2 piece, 2 blade broadhead .
I was keen to give it a go with my father owning a fabrication work shop I had the perfect place to design and test a broadhead. After 6 or so months the first samples were out and testing, after another 2 months we had the old school series on the market.
Our next challenge was to create a 1 piece CNC 2 blade broadhead. This is where Matt branched out to involve Grant to create this new head. It had been 4 years in the making with testing taking place in all locations across Australia on a variety of game under varying circumstances. Everything from shape, size, steel was trialed and tested to get a head on the market that is unlike any other one piece broadhead on the market. As there is only so much you can do with a broadhead, obviously it has to resemble something else out there.
After field testing these heads on buffalo and big boars to foxes and rabbits we had something special. A 2 blade 1 piece broadhead with more benefits then any other head on the market, this is where the pilot cut was born.
