Spin or Mylar Vanes have been a hugely popular vane since their introduction in the late 80's. Almost a standard for Olympic recurve archers, the mylar vanes are an ultra light curled vane that have a distinct curve to them.
Mylar vanes are usually attached with double sided tape rather than glue. They are very fast to attach and can be repaired while out on the range.
Used by many compound archers as well. Tasmanian Clint Freeman shot the world's first 1400 using Spin Wing vanes and also won the 2003 World Target using them.
Recently they are the choice of 2021 Redding women's compound winner Toja Ellison.
Tools to attach are minimal. Beiter make an incredible tool for marking lines or aligning the tape on the arrow called a Tri-Liner. We've placed that product in this section also.
Here is a video by World Archery on attaching spin vanes.
